Fever Originals commissioned us to create a series of interactive installations for their Dopamine Land experiences in the UK and Australia - immersive, multi-sensory exhibitions designed to be enjoyed by visitors of all ages. They were looking for a playful, welcoming feature to build anticipation as guests entered the space.
We created Musical Arches, a series of brightly coloured, glowing archways that chime and emit a warm glow and as someone walks through. Each arch plays a different note, and together they create a harmonious major-key arpeggio when triggered in sequence. Featuring integrated, multi-layered LED lighting and individual speakers within each arch, this installation creates an immediate dynamic audio-visual experience for participants passing through, whilst simultaneously acting as a spectacle for others in the room. For the Australian edition, we adapted the system to trigger only when approached from one direction. Using our OSCHII hardware, we processed inputs from two pairs of light-gate sensors at each doorway, activating the lighting and sound effects only when specific entry conditions were met.
