Fever: Musical Tiles

Musical Tiles is a life-size sequencing game and reactive musical interface that transforms physical movement into a vibrant audio-visual experience. Players step on pressure-sensitive tiles to trigger sound effects, lighting transitions, and musical layers - building rhythms, melodies, and visual patterns in real time. At the core of the system is a custom-built game engine that supports both freeform musical play and structured interaction modes, such as the classic memory game Simon Says.

Highly adaptable and modular, Musical Tiles can be reconfigured for different environments-from public installations and festivals to education spaces and corporate activations. Game mechanics, sound palettes, and visual themes are fully customisable to suit the event, audience, or creative concept. Bailes+Light developed the game technology and systems integration for Musical Tiles in Dopamine Land, Brisbane.
