Production company Weekend were commissioned to shoot a genius parody of the classic ‘Holidays Are Coming’ Coca Cola commercial from 1995 in support of Greenpeace’s Ocean Plastics campaign.
Having been brought onboard to recreate some of the Christmas Magic, we quickly integrated into the creative team for this fast-turnaround shoot. Our expertise in manipulating pixel lighting allowed us to propose a series of designs and effects to help carry the narrative of the film, using hundreds of pixels in sequence to suggest the presence of the truck despite it being off camera. For the final reveal, we covered the truck in ‘faulty’ fairy lights.
